On-Campus Advocate Office

Victims Services staffs an On-Campus Advocate Office at Bowling Green State University. The office is located in Room 355 of the Psychology Building. This office is staffed by volunteer advocates and provides a neutral and easy location for students to access. No appointments are needed to stop by and speak with an advocate.

The staffing of the office changes each semester based on the availability of the volunteer advocates. The hours are noted on the door. You can also learn the current schedule by calling The Link at (419) 352-1545 and asking for Victims Services.

In addition, the on-campus advocate office contains resources on sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and sexual harassment and can be accessed at times when an advocate is not there (the door is not locked when the building is open).

Student Disciplinary Committee

If anyone has been a victim of a sexual assault, domestic/dating violence, stalking, or sexual harassment situation by a Bowling Green State University student, then the Student Disciplinary Committee may be able to help. The purpose for the committee is to honor the Student Code and order sanctions on those students who fail to follow it. Victims Services advocates can help a victim report the crime to the committee and support the person throughout the proceedings.

Call The Link at (419) 352-1545 and ask for Victims Services.

Student Health Service

Following a sexual assault, many students choose to go to the Student Health Service on campus. An advocate can meet you there to talk about options regarding your treatment. Advocates can explain about the collection involved in a sexual assault exam kit, the services of a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), options regarding making a police report and prosecuting the crime, and other resources.
